SoundCloud attempting to push a subscription service now, and 2 of the major labels have already turned it down.

First of all, who's getting a subscription when 70% of songs aren't allowed to be uploaded, 20% are taken down, and the rest is just random acoustic covers and fanmade remixes.

Only people using SoundCloud actively is the broke ratchets to listen to local rapper mixtapes, and that defeats the purpose of a subscription to begin with.
