Idek, she took music not the bling to a whole different level. She wanted to release that snoozefest of a "folk" album for free on iTunes (but wasn't able to due to contractual obligations) and her own album is probably gonna be filled with bland acoustic ballads. It's unfair how Janet's music is 10000x better but she didn't get even half the praise.
His music was very same-ish sounding. + his sales were very inflated, so was his status, and he was more of a dancer anyways. His music isn't 'amazing', it's just all general public appealing like Justin Timberlake / Bruno Mars or whatever.
