Previously on Survivor: ATRL Edition (Season 5), the 15 remaining castaways were returned to camp ready to continue the fight. Round 8 had the castaways sending in diss tracks to former friends. Overall, it was a strong round for most of everyone. In the end Tribe Strujala took the win while Tribe Mawimba placed second sending Tribe Dalgani to Tribal Council for the first time as a new tribe. Welcome castaways to Round 9 of Survivor: ATRL Edition (Season 5)! Let's head into the next round, shall we?...
The theme for Round 9 is...
Bring The Bridge Back ~That's right~
To prepare you all for the incoming Merge that is only two rounds away, we're going to switch into a round that will contain subjectivity from the panel... as well as the games section of ATRL. This round, you guys will not send in a full song. We are focusing on only the bridges of songs this round. Your job is to find a bridge you believe elevates a track to a perfect climax before the final chorus. The panel will be judging not based off how well we like the track rather than how the bridge helps the track become a complete package. For example, some great songs have weak bridges so just because your song is great will not guarantee a high mark.
The panel will be simply ranking your entries this round rather than rating on a scale of 1 -10. Each position will correspond to a number score. The two Redemption Island entries will be ranked as if they are normal entries. That list can be found below:
On top of the panel scores will be an invite-only vote from games section members, former players, and a few friendly faces of the thread. I will have a list of who is dropping by so I will notice any sneak votes this time. This means you will each have 5 scores going into your average score for this round.
You need to PM me the song you are using as well as the lyrics to the bridge as I learned last season that not everyone knows what a bridge is.
What To Do:
As always. PM the artist and title of the song you are submitting. No explanation included.
To those on Redemption Island, you may send whenever but know that you will receive last priority so if someone still on a tribe sends the song you want, you will be forced to change rather than them.
Take Into Consideration:
The panel will judge the audio/lyrics of the track you submit. Music videos will not increase or decrease your score as some music video plots differ from a song's true meaning.
The theme is what is important here. You will not receive a low score because you sent in a song one of the judges does not like. Taste will most likely only be the determinate in whether you receive for example a 8.5 or 9.
The song you choose should display the meaning upfront. An interview with your artist clarifying the meaning of the song will not be taken into consideration.

The example bridge for this round is "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift off her third album 'Speak Now'. This bridge was used by S4 castaway holyground for this very same round where he swept the competition gaining the highest overall mark for the round. The bridge to Enchanted fully elevates the track to a climax before the final chorus settles in on this fan favorite album track of Taylor's.
