I like indie music and I also like Katy Perry and most people consider Katy bubblegum pop (bc that's what she is lol) and Idc I still like Katy. Embrace your pop taste
There's nothing wrong with admitting you like pop music, and there is nothing wrong with liking both alternative/experimental music AND pop music. Bizarre, I know!
I'd expect someone that's so pretentious about their music taste to know this to be honest
