Music these days is sad. Every pop man, woman and child is using the R&B fad (see: JB, Miley, Ariana, etc) at some point and finding success, an audience, etc. Meanwhile, actual real mainstream RnB artists who can actually sing (yes, I am aware Ariana is competent) and do this way better are all but extinct.
I could totally imagine JoJo singing this style of song and finding success with it but at the same time I'm glad Selena is taking this route.. this song suits her voice perfectly
Gomez also shared a teaser of the Good For You video – directed by Sophie Muller (Beyonce, Rihanna) – which will be debuted in full this Friday (June 26).
The track - produced by Nick Monson, Nolan Lambroza, Hector Delgado and A$AP Rocky - is the lead single from Gomez’s forthcoming studio album, the follow up to 2013’s Top 20 Stars Dance.
"When I recorded the song, there was no feature, but once it was done I couldn't help but want someone on it."
She also said the same thing a member posted here about A$AP being very selective on the songs he features on so she felt really good about the song when he agreed to be on it.
