It Follows ws really only scary for the first 5 minutes. That opening was creepier than the movie as a whole, imo.

I watched Primal (2010).

Plot is meh, characters are kinda bland, dump and annoying. One girl was dragged by their friend who became monster and some guy was sitting next to fire and saying like run *forgot her name* in normal voice and just chilling, such a ***** , ending was so bad That horrible production at the end, girl cutting her stomach with axe and last fight
Also I noticed a few mistakes during the movie.

Some parts were entertaining tho. but I don't recommend to anyone. :toofunny1:

The hubby randomly choose some horror movies on neftlix. The first was called the Den, a movie basically done entirely on a computer chat website, that made no sense. It was also very boring.

The second was called Detention. It was more horror-comedy. It starred Josh Hutcherson. Only good thing about that movie was the guy who promoted the Calgary Flames by wearing the jersey the whole movie.

I do not recommend either of them.

Coherence was a good mind ****, so worth the watch.

It follows and the babadook were both equally average movies. The gallows looks almost as memorable as the atrocious Unfriended man whats happening to horror

There was a big discussion on The Den like last week. Most of us liked it. It was cute to me. The ending could have been a bit better, though. I liked the premise of it, but her killing like 9 men in a row and then just getting re-abducted and hanged, not dying, then getting shot...it was too much, too fast.

I saw Detention while scrolling through Netflix. The cover/blurb seemed pretty interesting.

Mom and I watched Smiley today. It features the same girl from The Den. It was really slow, and a wannabe Scream. Them school scenes were straight from Scream 2!

(didn't know this ) and looks promising but I dont know why MGM didn't release it properly

lol I actually love both of these movies and would recommend them. The Den was genuinely creepy imo and Detention was kinda messy but I appreciate it for being different. Not as effective of a spoof as Scream or Cabin, but it was fun.

I have, a few years back. It was a pretty creep film. From what I remember the acting was meh, but the scenes where the kidnapper is taunting his victims were disturbing.

It's cloudy in my memory, but I remember it was entertaining, but also creative and smart!
Sort of classic teen slasher, but it had some problems and it was not theatrically released in the US
so it's not popular like others.

Im confused because the most vital parts of the movie flew COMPLETELY over my head

I was lost from the jump when they were talking about Hugh's brother wrote something about the cat in the box has a 50% chance of living and dying. Then they went on to talk about 2 different realms and later we discover there were way more than that.

Same with the ending. It was AMAZING... if only I understood what was going on. Was it the real her who she stuffed in the tub (did she really think she'd just disappear like that )? Can someone explain why she even chose that house in the 1st place? And what was up with the whole ring fiasco. Why was it so important? Was foreshadowing to something?

Its obvious she was in the wrong house because his phone wasn't cracked and the way he looked at her

The ending seemed kinda rushed. The movie did seem like it was better than Unfriended tho, which I never saw. (Not here for watching a 90 minute Skype conversation.)

The Poughkeepsie Tapes was pretty good. The acting wasn't the best, but I still enjoyed the movie.

It Follows was a snooze fest. Of course it had some intense scenes like the pool. But overall i wouldn't recommend it.

I think she planned on keeping her in the tub and then coming back to dispose the body because she couldn't do anything while all the friends were still in the house, but then she blacked out(no clue why) and never got the chance, and when she woke up Deb came out of the bathroom after showering so I'm guessing she assumed the bodies all collapsed after the comet passed(like what was mentioned in the book). I believe she chose that house after going from realm to realm searching for the best situation that she could find(aka the one where everyone remained peaceful and never even left the house). The director actually has answered many questionares about this film because there's so many subtleties that you probably won't notice until like an eighth watch. Also keep in mind a lot of this movie was improv and the actors didn't know what was going to happen(power outages, people coming back with different glow sticks or bandages) so it's a really good movie to watch over and over and catch new things you didn't know we're there.

Your opinion is the minority

It's not meant to be nonstop action and death scenes anyway, that's one of the main reasons it's so highly acclaimed. If you can't enjoy a movie that's heavy on atmosphere then I'm sorry you have narrow taste.

I just watched Coherence cuz of y'alls recommendations and I am destroyed. It was fantastic. And what's even more amazing is that I understood the events as they were unfolding, yes it was a complicated mind****, but not in a way that left me rolling my eyes. Brilliant.
