P!nk also made a tribute to the legend and dedicated her show to him!
This is from her twitter account:
Quote:
Today was a sad day in music, but it was a sweet night. Sydney and I dedicated our evening to the memory and genius of Michael Jackson. And my dancers all busted out his moves when I introduced them. My guitar player did the moonwalk in cowboy boots. It was amazing
Nothing prepared me for the news on Thursday. My aunt came in and told me she just heard on the radio that he was dead. I didn't believe her OF COURSE, I mean he had a big tour coming, possible new music, and she knows how much I love him and his music so I thought it was one of her usual blunt jokes. But surely enough I turned to CNN (knowing they'd be covering if true), and there it was..."Michael Jackson Is Dead". I was in shock. Over the news itself and then how definite the headline was...just painful. I didn't want to believe it. That whole day I watched MTV/VH1, the interviews with Sway and others, just hoping for "Hoax for the tour" or something. Around 3am that night I put my iPod on and listened to "Man In The Mirror" and started to cry. Like tears. The most I've cried since my great grandmother died in 2002. It just finally hit me that this man only at 50 years old, the guy I used to dance to with a mop when I was just 4 years old was really gone. I can still remember putting on the Moonwalker movie and attempting all the moves after school in elementary and stuff. He's the inspiration in my music, writing, everything.
Since the announcement, I've played nothing but my Michael discography. Even though I usually played his songs, it has just been nonstop. There will never be another. The comparisons can be made, but no one will touch this man. I'm very excited to see the tributes at the next few award shows, just to see him remembered and honored.
Michael Jackson was the King of artistic genius, of dance, of innovation and fantasy. He reinvented the pop genre and found a new way to articulate music through images that will last forever. Of his voice Frank Sinatra once said that he was "the only singer I've seen who was better than me." With his death, the King is transformed into a Legend for all time. My profound sympathy to his family, fans and loved ones.

Damn I'm still mourning him I've been going to bed real late at night crying for his soul. I was worried that there might not be an afterlife and no God but now after reading some stories about how Jesus comes to those who loves him I'm sure there is one. But I'm afraid Michael might be in hell unless he confessed his sins. I will pray for the guy. It's a bummer though that I never got to see the guy in concert I believe the last time he came to my area was just a year before I was born damn.
Now thats whats up! I know if Michael knew me he would want me to live my life to the fullest and not worry about a damn thing. I finally started listening to his music again because before after his death it was hard for me to do it but now I can finally listen to it again without breaking up in tears. I love how the whole music industry is coming together to honor him heck it seems like its even got The Game and 50 Cent to finally rejoin forces thats how powerful this is. Its a damn shame though that people didn't show Michael love until he after died. But whats good is I think the message in his song Man In The Mirror might finally be realized, "If you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change." I think others are starting to do that all over the world and right now thats what our country and our world needs. If that's really you in the clouds Michael its great to finally see you in heaven. I knew that you were just a man who had no childhood and was beaten as a child that's why you might have made some messed up decisions. But finally heaven gots it angel back.
