The Pinkprint is at 624k & was released 4 months after My Everything. Her sales are kinda lackluster for a pop album, especially when you consider all her hit singles

I don't know why these post-My Everything Ariana stans try to front like Ariana was not tailored/marketed as the "next Mariah", just like Christina/Leona were in the beginning of their careers. There is reason why people compare the two, it's not just a random coincidence. Her first album, which was meant to be titled Daydreamin before she faced Mariah related backlash, is evidence of that. It's not just musically or vocally that these two are similar, it's also visually. Doesn't the "Dreamlover" video basically describe Ariana's "cutesy, girl next door" image? Like get the **** outta here.

If You Watch Ariana's videos on On Demand it still lists The Way as a single of of "Daydreamin'". It pisses me off. I feel like Ari was a mini-Mi at first but then she realized no one was here for it so she decided to become a pop girl instead. By A4 she'll be Katy Perry but with vocals.
