It really was such a dud year. And so many great albums were overlooked by the GP. Sorry I'm Late should have received the success that 1989 has received.
+ was pretty big in Australia. The A Team, Lego House, Drunk and Give Me Love all felt huge here. I think x was technically the bigger era though, at least in terms of chart peaks.

I mean, + did respectably well here and I believe The A Team went Top 20, but the x era was truly the era when he became inescapable (and insufferable).

Count yourselves lucky. Some of us have had to tolerate it for much longer.
Also Ed's book was a bit heavy-handed with the live show marketing stuff. It's pretty much all he wrote about most of the time which I guess makes sense since he's a musician and all but still.
Like almost no subtlety whatsoever.
And he said he was storing ideas and he wants his third album to be more successful than X.
So maybe he's the real made Adele idk.
