I had thought she would this coming week or the week after that. SYA is slipping in streams, and will peak in airplay before next Wednesday. Meanwhile, BB keeps surging in airplay. Both songs are falling in sales though, and BB is just maintaining in streaming, pretty far below SYA, so we'll have to get closer to next week to see what the chances are. It's too early to tell right now, but I would say probably one more week.

Nicki Minaj fans can't be that mad at Maroon 5 for their song Sugar tying Starships record. Nicki was featured on the remix to the song, so she played a part in making it a hit. Also, Sugar did accomplish one thing Starships didn't -- it reached every position in the Top 10 except #1. Starships has sold a lot more than Sugar though, and I'm not sure if M5 can ever catch up there or not. Sugar will get to 3 million, but I can't say anything for sure beyond that.

The charts are so boring and stagnant now.

Unbelievable. As if we didn't have Harlem Shake or Crank That to deal with. I'm over it.

I don't see "Fight Song" in the top 20 yet, it's still low in airplay and streaming. I guess something around #22-#24. (unless the instagram plays count for streaming).

How the heck are Sugar and Earned It still top 10 when they are deep down the top 20 in itunes?! Billboard needs to recalculate and re-examine their formula 'cause it is a big f*cking mess.

I've put it there because it's so high on iTunes.

I think Bad Blood should go back to #1 the week following this given prediction. There's a small window between SYA and Cheerleader, and I think BB will get one or maybe two more weeks on top starting the week after next.

i don't see why BB should reevaluate the measurements because you think the chart is too stagnant
EI and Sugar still are fairly popular enough over all compnents

The charts are great the way they are. Except for slightly decreasing the influence of sales, I don't believe Billboard needs to alter its formula.

Radio airplay. That's how. Radio airplay should be treated like TV. It can influence people's habits but it shouldn't be the component of the chart. My guess is the reason Billboard keeps it around is because if they didn't they'd have no advantage or shelter from others coming up with their own popularity charts.

I agree.
I don't mind it being a factor, but not as big of a factor as is now.

Still, "Funk" adds to its legacy, passing 6 million downloads sold (6.1 million) since its release. It becomes one of 35 titles to have sold at least 6 million.

SYA's good until July. Then Cheerleader and BB become problems for it as BB passes it in airplay and opens a lead there, while Cheerleader probably passes it in sales and comes close in airplay and streaming. There'll probably be a short window where BB leads SYA on both airplay and sales by significant amounts while Cheerleader is still behind SYA in airplay and streams, which should allow BB another week at #1, I think.
I'm thinking 3 more weeks for SYA, then a week for BB, then some weeks for Cheerleader unless Fight Song makes some ridiculous airplay/streaming gains or Watch Me has some crazy viral videos.
