All the One of the Boys reviews are like "Her first single was homophobic, then her second single used lesbianism to get attention, therefore the album is crap", thus are completely irrelevant when discussing the quality of the album. There's only one song on that album under an 8/10, and even that song has its moments where it approaches the rest of the tracks. At least there's no try-hard messes like Firework or This Is How We Do where Katy clearly felt like she *had* to include a song with a particular theme on the album, or terrible rap verses.
Plus, it's been more than a month since Teenage Dream or Prism were released so the Doctor Luke songs might as well have been released a century ago from how dated 90% of them now sound.
