I don't think Nintendo's gonna pretend they're the most popular characters, seeing as the Ryu/Roy data has been in the game since mid-April, and the poll doesn't end til October. Everyone would call them out on their ******** tbh.
As grateful as I am that Nintendo's doing Smash DLC tho, I'm still mad cause I want an exorbitant amount of characters to be DLC. Which sucks considering they're probably gonna make 6-7 characters max, and 5 of those characters are p much confirmed (Mewtwo, Lucas, Ryu, Roy, Wolf).

They said at the end of the 4/1 Direct (the one where they revealed the trailers for Mewtwo and Lucas) that they'll get amiibos too, so yeah I think all DLC characters will get an amiibo.
I need a Shantae and Bayonetta Amiibo. I don't even care if they are completely useless in every other game, I still need it.
I feel like Nintendo should put at least one eShop character into smash. Most people would probably argue Shovel Knight but I feel like Shantae would be a better fit since she's much closer to a Nintendo exclusive than Shovel Knight.
As far as I know Shantae has never appeared on PS or XB
The horrible availability that the Lucas amiibo will have tho. Probably worse than Ness, who is already incredibly difficult to get. I was distraught when I couldn't find one on 5/29 bc he's my SSB4 main + I've been playing Earthbound and I absolutely adore it.
I want them to make an Earthbound 3D for Wii U soooooooo badly. I know the creator Shigesato Itoi said he's satisfied with the Mother/Earthbound series and doesn't want to make another game, but this would be a remake so it would just be a graphic update, essentially (although maybe they could add amiibo functionality, along with some other features). That, or release Mother 3 (Earthbound 2?) on Wii U Virtual Console.
