It's realistic to the fantasy world, Westeros, which, it portrays. Or you could say that it is realistic even when compared to our world. Especially during the medieval times. Just appreciate that we live in a day and age, where we have a television show, which doesn't hold back.

The literally just sent him there because they couldn't send him to where he was in the books and they had to get him away from Kings Landing.
Where is Rhaegal and Viserion? Tonight just proved that, no matter what, they love their mommy and they'll protect her against those who will wish her harm.
Since they changed the book storyline a little, I hope that Daenerys is headed to the dungeon to finally free the other two dragons. THE WORLD IS NOT READY!! Set King's Landing on fire my queen!!

Think about it in the big picture. The tension between the Lannisters and the Martells is growing. Myrcella will probably be the last straw before Dorne attacks.
every episode shouldn't be something awful. There has to be something good to keep the balance.
