like a prayer is def one of madonna's better albums. has a few of duds but like a prayer, spanish eyes, oh father, love song are all just out of the park
Critics just LOVE her. Makes me pressed tbh esp when they are praising the most basic, bland songs possible.
Her songwriting is 3rd grade level.

Like A Prayer has the title track, Express Yourself, Oh Father, and Promise To Try so it's not entirely bad, but Cherish and Dear Jessie are both awful, the latter being one of the worst of her entire career.

prism and 1989's lyrics are vastly different imo
critics love taylor's attention to detail, 'it's a typical tuesday night', as opposed to something like prism which is like an hour of cliches strung together in the least imaginative way possible.
i mean, taylor can be trite but she still manages to capture the atmosphere she's going for. she's very effective
I only use like 5 tracks, I use more MDNE tracks
