Not to mention her Platinum Christmas album etc.

Nah. People like Christina for her ballads anyways and You Lost Me is her greatest one. That doesn't really add up much aside from people saying they had enough of her. Aside from Britney's horrible time with her breakdown and the media, Christina's seems like the second worst time the media collectively ganged up on an artist so brutally. GaGa's was bad too but, in retrospect, not everyone was hating her as much as it seemed.

Clive Davis himself said she was the most powerful artist at RCA when she released B2B(which the label wasn't crazy about because it's a double album) but it did very well.
They probably didn't think Bionic's #'s were possible and can you blame them?

Back to Basics could have sold a lot more and been better (even though it's still a good album, just with some unecessary songs) as a single CD. Xtuna her ego wanted to be seen as a real artiste.

Like she thought Dirrty, Not Myself Tonight, WooHoo, Your Body, and all this other freaky mess was gonna get picked up by radio?

It's clear when she's not sex'ing it up, and actually bringing some talent she can get a hit -- Just a Fool, Say Something, Ain't No Other Man, Beautiful, etc.

It's so obvious that Lotus' lead single should've been Let There Be Love, followed by Just a Fool to be the 2nd single that's a ballad the formula always works: We Belong Together, Stay, Someone Like You, When I Was Your Man, etc.
