Eminem and Jay-Z are always compared. I don't see what's so funny. With that said, I feel Jay-Z had more on Hip Hop as a genre.
Exactly. It's funny because Eminem garners a lot of hate on this board because he's white and because he's "homophobic". It's easy for some people to turn a blind eye to the impact he has had and the fact that he's arguably the biggest & most consistent artist of the past 2 decades.
With that being said, I do feel like Jay-Z has had more impact on the genre, but Eminem has had more overall.

I don't disagree that Eminem is inflated due to his race. I mean, he even said so himself. But he is legitimately talented (he's kinda a hack now). Even black hip hop elitists said Eminem > Jay-Z on "Renegade."
