She's degrading how Taylor got in the business and how she's prospered from it, though. Fine, you don't want to be a massive superstar. But downplaying others just because you don't aspire / can't get there? I see where you said she's a bitch, so I can understand that. But putting such a lyric in your album, then doing an interview about it contradicts the idea she doesn't want the big time publicity and what not. Which this will draw cause it's Taylor.
Which leads me back to my post of asking what was the purpose? Besides being a bitch, I mean. There's literally no reason for her to say any of this stuff, besides it being a poor man's excuse as to why she's not massive. I mean there's plenty of massively successful country women that didn't need the things she's demeaning. She sounds a bit mad, beyond being a bitch.
Like why does someone else's dreams and career have her so mad to write songs about it and drop not-so-subtle hints about who she's jealous of?
Kacey is honest, but she was never calling for attention. Which is fine if you want to be a popstar, but she clearly preaches against it.
