VEVO would also recommend "Blank Space" when I'd be watching random Armenian music videos. Like, WTF? It's all corruption, I swear. Also, Sia her Elastic Heart is the best song of the past 3 years.
but a lot of videos do that stupid **** where it appears as the "suggested video!;]" Raty did it with Roar & TIHWD. Tbh none of those views should count towards billboard. It's just as paid-for/fake as Dope's Youtube ad views.
i feel like a lot of people use youtube/vevo to stream music and less for the dumb videos these idiot girls are serving. they'll have it playing in one tab and then browse while it plays - and it'll end and autoplay the next "suggested video!;]" which is usually some big label hackjob like Raty or Loose
Honestly, although there's obvious corruption involved, Katy & Taylor videos are truly popular. I remember when normal people still watched GaGa her vids. Her views are so embarrassing, especially if you consider the fact that half of her views consist of Monsters pressing the loop button.
Youtube really shouldn't count at all. It's so sketchy and doesn't reflect song popularity - Harlem Shake and Friday being prime examples of that. (and imo all Raty videos)
Like I'm happy for it since she is my favorite but Dope charted in the top ten because of YouTube views alone.
