7/10 I expected more of it, since it won in Cannes and all those awards... It's very entertaining, at least.

27 Dresses (2008)
4/10 There are great romantic comedies (Manual of Love, Music and Lyrics, 50 First Dates), there are decent romantic comedies (Monster In Law) and then there are those of the likes of 27 Dresses. Predictable, not funny, not very entertaining either. Much more could've been done with the story.

Waltz With Bashir (Vals Im Bashir) (Israel) (2008)
8/10 It got boring at some parts, but overall it's a very good movie, well done and interesting. The ending was shocking.

Departures (Okuribito) (2008)
6/10 Academy Award Winner for Best Foreign Language Film. Just some boring picture, nothing original. It looks like an American film made by the Japanese. Waltz With Bashir should've won the award, it was groundbreaking, original, different... This is just a regular film that will be forgotten for years to come. The comedic relief moments were stupid and taken out of nowhere, it would've worked better just as plain drama.

Let The Right One In (2008) (Sweden)
7/10 It isn't as good as the critics and the people who've watched it make it out to be. It's a good movie, though. You need to keep your mind open in order to enjoy it.

Let The Right One In (too) 6/10. This is not a horror film as some have stated. It's more of a drama/romance with little horror elements (like a serious version of Twilight).

Martyrs 9/10,. Excellent french horror film that everyone should watch and analyze (great ending)
