TD feels bigger because Katy's anthems are more generalized. They're more for everyone. A hell of a lot more people are passionate about Taylor than they are about Katy, but not everyone can enjoy a Taylor song like they can enjoy a Katy song. Everyone can enjoy a Katy song. Idk if that makes sense.

Shake It Off is pretty generalized (like too generalized) but Taylor's lyrics in general are more quirky. Katy's are just a string of cliches.

I will say that Katy's influence on Taylor is pretty clear. It's fun to point out that Taylor beat Katy at her own game, but in the end, it was Katy's game to begin with - not anyone else's.
