The footage is from the music video where she shows not only videos of her being able to walk but also her childhood pictures. And the guy who was playing the piano during the performance is her husband who also composed the music. She's basically telling the story of her entire life.

I heard worse songs which had qualified to the final and no one was making a fuss. I'm tried of that we have to work twice as hard as non-disabled people, otherwise we are successful because we get sympathy etc., etc
Conchita's vocals were good. The song wouldn't stand out at all if it was sung by someone else.
