If people were here for the song, I bet it would sell more than just 1.3M copies in the US

I never said that people were there for the song? If you remember correctly, it was dragged instantly by everyone when it leaked. It was only after the music video dropped that people started to come around to it and praise it. "Anaconda", had it been a bigger hit on radio, most likely would've sold 2M, but it only peaked in the 50M AI range.
Once again, I never implied that people were just here for the song. I'm just saying that the reason she broke the record was that she was at a point in her era where she had the attention of literally everyone. The "***Flawless" remix received acclaim, "Pills N Potions" was a small hit here and elsewhere (ppl watching her were interested in seeing where she was going next and, for many, this was the first time they had heard and see Nicki in a while), and yes the video featured Drake and it was sexual in nature. I'm just trying to say that it isn't the only reason people checked out the video bc if it were, it's view count would've been lower just like I'm sure Taylor Swift's view count would've been lower had it lacked Kendrick Lamar and was the original version.
Unlike, say, Miley, both Taylor and Nicki have broken the record by appealing to the largest audience possible in a number of ways. And, yes, a sexually-driven video was one of Nicki's appeals.
ANYWAY, I'm not trying to come off as pressed. I'm happy for Taylor and I hope to continue to see the VEVO record broken (of course, I hope Taylor holds on to it for a while like Nicki was able to) because it's awesome seeing so many people interested in one thing. Congrats Taylor!
