It literally doesn't matter WHAT happens from the era from now. Even if Taylor manages to get Bad Blood to #1, as well as three more singles to get those six #1s, they won't be consecutive, and Katy can still proudly say that she never had a single from that era peak as low as Style did. Katy automatically obliterates in every possible scenario. Every chance at success died with Style.
She outsold a 2010 album in 2014 with far fewer hit singles that sounds like destroying if you ask me..
Not when Taylor's always had album sales on her side. Her two latest albums before 1989 opened with 1m+, why would anyone expect any less? She hasn't overtaken Katy in this department, she's always been ahead.
Album sales =/= all an era is made up of. Taylor wins in album sales but Katy wins in singles sales + chart success + touring (so far).
