They put way too much focus on making the visuals really impressive. This probably had a very big budget. It looks like a movie trailer and it's just not that entertaining to me. Most traditional music videos are more enjoyable than this imo. They tried to make this video as mind-blowing as possible, but sometimes it just doesn't work.
They clearly had the budget but not the story which let it all down in the end. There was no build-up, and certainly no climax. They kind of just showed off all the names they had on there and then it ended. It was all pretty pointless.
A letdown, but I'm not overly surprised. All the gimmicks were to distract from the fact that the video itself just isn't very interesting.
This should have been a Telephone type of video... lenghy enough to show the chacaracters and a story line.
It's a great visual video and all... but it could have been much better if she found a better director.
