Lionsgate will roll out JLaw and big promo in Q3 most likely and once she finishes filming X-Men she'll be everywhere with press for it. They've only back-end to make on this movie most likely so they'll put some extra coins into marketing. "Part 1" movies always perform worse than Part 2 movies, at home and internationally. I think it'll likely be the highest grossing HG movie WW, but might fall short of the $1 billion mark. Really only Star Wars has put out stuff for the movies of Q4 and that's coming off a non-existent movie era for a decade so they need to prime their audience. Spectre hasn't really done much marketing yet, it's still too soon. Currently HG has zero competition at home for its opening week, all signs point to it performing excellently unless world-of-mouth is poor.
OT: Avengers, ha extremely late Japanese debut approaches. I think it'll settle right around the same as the first movie, just over $1.5 billion.
