blogs are pointless. people hardly "blog" about anything worth reading. it always about music in some way. damn people change it up a bit are your lives really that uneventful? :x merging the blogs and lounge sounds nice but its still gonna be up to the members to make it interesting and unless we get 100 more JezebelSiren soon i dont see that happening. as far as i can see people on here NEVER talk about things other than music and its always the same old played out arguments about x having more number ones than y and who is selling more. i completely agree with mazen's last post and its nice you finally realized atrl is a bit too moderated. (:
Here we go again with the "sense of freedom" complaints! Of course, Ryan's post in NHB was overshadowed by the pointless Christina vs. Britney arguments (btw, I feel sorry for anyone who thinks sales and chart positions determine the quality of an album.)

What a double-edged sword we have to deal with. We don't do anything, we're not "doing our jobs". We actually do our damn jobs, and we're accused of taking away the freedom of posters. Real comforting.
The old blog threads were still kinda stranded out there in their own section. I think we'd be better off with everything in The Lounge. What does everyone else think? Maybe each personal topic could have its own thread, like in the old old days before blogs. There could just be a new icon/prefix for them, to separate them from random topics.
I like my blog the way it is...I know that the Blog section is kinda dead lately, maybe cuz' posting comments there is not included in post count [sad but kinda true]...
I don't think moving it to the The Lounge will bring it back to life, well it probably will expose it to more people but it will probably be very messy [well, maybe that's what we need to revive ATRL?]
But I think that the fact only members can go into the Blog section unlike the The Lounge is kinda important, I dunno about others but I did write some personal stuff in there.
@NickLacheyFan, that is true, but ATRL is still a public forum, anyone can join; you shouldn't post anything on ATRL (including in Blogs) that you're not comfortable with the entire Internet having access to see.
@Angelo, it's actually The Lounge that is more dead than the Blogs... but The Lounge has been around longer and has a more interesting name, therefore it would keep its name from any possible merger.

I remember it all started after Best of 2006, because people used their year-end threads to talk about so many things, they all wanted their own year-round thread to continue the discussion. Nick suggested it should take on a blog format (remember Nick? anyone?), and so Blog Party was born.
