Sis You're definitely NOT a baritone. I may post a soundcloud clip of my vocals in a bit. But while you have a male 'deep voice', it doesn't have the harsher/booming qualities of a baritone.

Welp, I'd rather not fight my vocal teacher on it. Especially since I'm technically singing "the wrong way" in that clip!

It's okay, I really like your voice though. It's very smooth, and when you go high it almost reminds me of Adam Levine's. As long as you feel comfortable when you sing (which you did say you didn't while recording) I think that's all that matters.

I think it's just me going through allergies (although, my other thought is that I have nodules forming, but I'd rather not have that in my head)…
The thing is when I feel comfortable, I lose any kind of dynamic in my voice.
Time, Chaka is not no dang dramatic, her voice is not THAT big!
Chaka may be a Falcon, idk.
There's another vocalist named Vesta Williams who kinda sounds like Chaka. Her vocal range video said she's a Dramatic Mezzo-Soprano. Idk
Time, Chaka is not no dang dramatic, her voice is not THAT big!
But it's bigger then Full lyric and Mezzo goes Full Lyric to Dramatic, hence I think she's a very light dramatic as she sure as **** ain't Full Lyric. I will admit to her being a Full Lyric-Dramatic hybrid.
But I'll just agree to disagree for now, at least we agree she's a Mezzo now.
I knew I had heard that voice before, he's Jojo's(And Selena's but lettuce not go there) singing teacher
ddd I don't fully agree that Chaka is a mezzo, I just said she could be some sort of mezzo or mezzo/soprano hybrid.
Adele is a standard lyric as far as I can hear. Her voice isn't that big either. I mean...unless it is, I could be wrong
Most people have small-ish lyric voices. Large and even medium-sized voices are veryyyy rare.

You know whose hard to decipher? Billie Holiday.
No matter what, her voice is certainly light-lyric. The volume capacity and weight are 👌🏾. I can't tell if she was a true mezzo or a broken soprano voice though. Idk, prob an underdeveloped light-lyric mezzo. She wasn't a great singer, excellent emotional interpreter and performer.
Ehh. Not really hearing much of a improvement. I need to hear with better sound quality.
You didn't hear the improvement from the cracked F#5 (that was supposed to be a G5) to a centered G5? The sound was so much brighter and fuller, and she's actually utilizing her air support now. But I'm also waiting to hear what she does in the studio.

So much potential
She does have a lot of potential for sure, and I think she's finally beginning to utilize it properly. This past month she finally got a vocal coach (something I don't think she's had for a while) and she's already getting her chest range back. She's straining far less, which shows because she now goes sharp on her belts probably because she's not used to the ease and overshoots them.
Lightweight, small-medium volume/resonance capacity. Prefixes like 'light' and 'full' denote opposite extremes of the category. 'Light-lyric' = very lightweight, very soft, small volume capacity. 'Full-lyric' = medium weight, medium volume capacity.
A LARGE voice would be called 'dramatic' = VERY heavy, (potentially) VERY powerful, GREAT volume capacity. It's quite rare thing for a voice to be able to be heard over a full orchestra with little to no help, so you can't just go throwing the term around lol. And in case you were about to ask, the term 'spinto' refers to tenor and soprano voices that are near but not quite equal to dramatic voices in size and power, and also richer and warmer in tone quality than dramatic voices, which should sound cold and steely/metallic.
