Promise is still my fave song of hers but I definitely prefer the more mature Ciara to her earlier albums. She has a nearly flawless singles run though. |
Yeah, it could have been an amazing era. It hurts a bit that after 5 frustrating years with pushbacks, buzz singles, radio sabotages, label issues etc, she finally found the formula that worked for her with the self-titled and then she gave up on it
Jackie is exactly what the OWA album was supposed to be in 2012. Her international label paid good money for the pop tracks she recorded in 2011/12 so I wouldn't be surprised if most of the tracks on Jackie aren't as new as her label and she are claiming them to be. I have no receipts though.
