Jezang Looz - See You Again : Jezang gurl, I'm actually really sorry to do this, cause you're one of the most passionate contestants, so I'm rooting for you Last week your main criticism was that you made a pleasant, yet ultimately basic song. This week, you failed to get rid of the basicness and also made a song that wasn't pleasant to read. The second half of the verse had rhyming issues and miscounted syllabes and every line of the song was cliche. I'm really really sorry to be typing this, cause I feel like, for your passion alone, you deserve to go far in the game.

The thing I can agree with is the vocabulary being simple but there aren't miscounted syllables in the verses - I always count them (as shown below). Although the lyrics are bit elementary, I figured the execution and concept would be enough to carry me through since the lyrics are
still meaningful but perhaps bland when comparing them to other entries. I have no problem being eliminated (as if I had a choice) but I still stand behind my entry as being an improvement over last week's.
I see my song as a Prayer, something that people could relate to universally and those that have felt the story of longing to see their loved ones. It's a countdown until the day you guys finally meet. I enjoyed this challenge irregardless of the outcome and I think I conceptually nailed "See You Again" pretty well as the chorus wraps up the entire message.
Simple but effective, but to each their own. I thank you for the review though!
See You Again
[Verse 1]
Prayed for so long to find someone like you (10)
I never gave up even though you were a fool (12)
Still I moved on hoping you’d come back through (10)
But the pain is strong I can see you’re hurting too (12)
What do we do when we’re both worlds apart (10)
Talking to myself to figure out what went wrong (12)
Still have my doubts if I will find the one (10)
But I pray to God hoping that His will be done (12)
[Chorus]
Look up to the sky and say (7)
I hope that I’ll see you again (8)
Down on my knees I pray (6)
That you’ll want me more than a friend (8)
We watch the sun rise every day (8)
And at sunset I’ll kneel and pray (8)
That it won’t be too long (6)
Until I see you again (7)
