Promises: Lord, those synth accompanied portentous drum beats. She has quite the chilling voice here, it's one that seems like it's crying out for help but still has glimmers of youth. It's really nice to listen to, actually. I love this song - along with the great production, it's lyrically very strong and captivating.
Quote:
my focus is drunk on the floor
And mumbling something about one more
This is the last time, say it a million more
Never meant to my break my own promises
The fighter, the flight, we lost sight with the lattermost
It almost is laughable, but when I chuckle I choke
Can't get the words out my throat, oh one more

Poor dwuw. Maty confused his song with a report and instead handed out a warning point instead of a review for his song.

"OctaHate" is pretty good so far, too. Not as strong as the title-track, though.

Hugamari reviews: "Fos" by Elena Paparizou
1. Mazi Sou - This felt like the perfect album opener, like you're being whisked away into a magical journey in a fairy-tale kingdom. It gets major points just for that! I don't particularly love the song, but it was perfect for the placement. 8/10

Allie X - Collxtion
1. Hello
When she started singing I thought it was Britney but then I came to my senses. The song is actually pretty good. I love how it's a light fun song with inspiring lyrics. It has a slight Disney feel to it tbh (sounds like it could be on Austin & Ally) but I do like the song overall. I like the 80s element to it.
2. Catch
The lyrics in the first verse are a bit...ehh. But the way she sings it makes it work. The song itself goes nowhere though.
3. Prime
Ok I actually loved this at first but I hated how the forgive what I need part was repeated over and over. It felt like the needle on the record was stuck. I love the fast paced music/singing and how it matches the imagery of the lyrics. If it wasn't for the repetition then it would be one of my favourites.
4. Tumor
This is beautiful. I'll definitely be repeating this one a few times and perhaps shed a tear when things are bad with someone.
5. Bitch
Yas bitch!! It starts off very Lana at first and then translates into something MIA would do.
6. Good
. I can relate to this...a lot. It doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the EP though.
7. Sanctuary
When they're throwing stones
There's a place I know
I can always go
Let me send this to my BFF!! YAS!! This song is everything. The lyrics and the vocals soar.
Overall:
I'll be honest synthpop is not my thing but this was something I thoroughly enjoyed. The lyrics can sometimes be a bit naff but the production is very slick. I quite like her voice. I'll definitely be getting this EP onto my iTunes.

My full song. The 2nd verse needs some work and the bridge as well, it seems out of place.
Run
VERSE 1
My road began long time ago,
and since then I've been walking
till I find my twin soul
And I've fought some obstacles
And I'll fight what is to come
Even though what I'm doing,
they say is illogical
PRE-CHORUS 1
I'm tired of walking
But I know I can't give up
So I look at my reflection
and say, 'now,
it's time to run'
CHORUS
And I'll run, run, run
'till I reach the end
And I'll run, run, run
even if I lose my breath
and I'll run, run, run
'till I finish what I started
and I'll run, run, run
'till I find my other half
And I don't care about the time I waste,
if I'm searching for you, babe,
I'll do whatever it takes to find you,
to find you, my girl.
VERSE 2
I promised to myself
I'll never stop walking
'til I find what
I'm looking for
But I need some hope,
to go on with this journey,
so, give me a sign
And I'll be your Hermes**
PRE-CHORUS 2
I'm tired of searching
But I'll never give up
So I look up at the sky
and shout, 'now,
it's my time'
CHORUS
And I'll run, run, run
till I see your face
And I'll run, run, run
even if I lose my breath
and I'll run, run, run
till I finish what I started
and I'll run, run, run
till I find my other half
And I don't care about the time I waste,
if I'm searching for you, babe,
I'll do whatever it takes to find you,
to find you, my girl.
BRIDGE
They say that
I've become insane
But I ain't the Mad Hatter,
and this ain't Wonderland,
and I'm sorry to tell you,
but this is not a tale.
and now, more than ever,
it's my time to race
CHORUS
And I'll run, run, run
Till I reach the end
And I'll run, run, run
even if I lose my breath
and I'll run, run, run
till I finish what I started
and I'll run, run, run
till I find my other half
And I don't care about the time I waste,
if I'm searching for you, babe,
I'll do whatever it takes to find you,
to find you, my girl.
**Hermes is known for being quick, so that means that if I get a sign I'll be fast
