I mean it's ok 'cause it's 20% of the score but I wasn't expecting those numbers. But then again I never joined PH so I don't know how people usually score. I didn't read the old threads either so I guess this is as per usual
Very true. I mean I know my lyrics are basic but I hoped they were catchy enough and well written (ala actual billboard hits which are normally simple yet accessible) to score high enough. Again this is just my premature thoughts so I'll wait til the scores are revealed. Seems interesting so far I guess! I'mma try to hold it together if I see my name eliminated

I don't think of a shorter song as presenting "fewer chance to mess up" but "fewer chances to shine." But I'm an optimist, so
I think that some people are surprised by my scale because I actually use 1-10 scale, which a lot of people don't. I gave no 10s because there was no PERFECT song that amazed me. None of these entries are winning Song of the Year at the GRAMMYs, and I don't expect them to because many of you are new writers. Also, it's not helpful to think of the songs on the radio as barometers. If any of you submitted Uptown Funk I'd give you a 2.
