Yeah, I don't get why more people don't understand this. If I was a successful pop star, I'd legit release one of the filler tracks as the lead and save the amazing songs for singles 2-4. If you have enough star power, the lead single is gonna do at least moderately well regardless of how good the song is. You need the great ones for the later singles because they're harder to sell once the album is out.

I hope she opens the show or at least performs earlier on. People tend to tune out over the course of an award show so the earlier the better. If she doesn't get an icon award or some special award, I want her to open, if she doesn't, I want her somewhere in the first hour. I'm sure the opening slot will be up for her if she wants it. BBMAs know her name gets ratings. Remember when they used her name last year? They said she was making a special appearance and she literally appeared for 2.5 seconds during a video for J.Lo's award.
