It literally pains me how the rest of the forum is hopping on the CL bandwagon and doing the most with her. Like I reeeeeeally hope she succeeds but all the hype and **** is just gonna give more people cause to drag her which is the exact opposite of what she/the K-pop industry needs at this point

Mte. I adore her but the amount of threads lately and premature cockiness is too much.

Supporting and wishing for the best is one thing but constantly being braggadocious is another..

And like I wouldn't even mind if the people doing the most with her were people who were fans before the whole US debut thing was announced, but I feel like instead the ones who are hyping her up and dragging Iggy/Nicki/whoever will ditch her with swiftness if/when she isn't successful. I mean there's totally nothing wrong with being a new fan or whatever, but at least try to know what you're talking about before you go taking shots left right and center in her name

What YG should do while CL is in the U.S.

Give Dara a solo mini for late spring. Let her have more acting.
Give Minzy a Summer release.
And give BOM here big comeback in the fall.

And we'll have our 2NE1 comeback next year.

The K-Pop industry is getting bigger internationally, so I don't think CL not breaking through will necessarily hurt the cause. I also think that even if she doesn't break through, she's still going to have her niche audience and it seems that with her connections to Diplo, Skrillex, Grimes, Blood Diamonds etc, she's going to be a nice fit amongst the electronic crowd. A Pitchfork Pop Artisté.

For real though I think her debut will be a success, even if she doesn't blow up on a mainstream level.
