Rihanna needs pop radio support and none of these songs are appealing enough to pop radio. Throw in the whole TIDAL exclusive stuff and yea this is her most risky era thus far. The only thing she's done more risky in her career is the collab with CB on birthday

 Agreed
FFS may be a song with a simple Pop Melody but Kanye and Paul aren't exactly a pull for Pop radio. It did build credibility at the expense of somewhat alienating her younger and more urban fans.
BBHMM was risky because it's the opposite of what FFS aimed for it may seem like a step back but the production alone puts it above some of her other urban cuts.
AO is like a torch ballad, ceremonial song. It's not single material , and once again it will alienate her fans. Also it's content can be misinterpreted by some and can seem Pro America, which could turn people off.
Nothing about this era has been "safe" or predictable. It's unlike any other Rihanna era thus far.
