I know, but it really depends on how he wants to do it. Using one really iconic / popular line isn't considered bad, a lot of artists do it (Uptown Funk using a Trinidad James line for the chorus).
But if he wants to copy and paste 2 or 3 full sentences from an existing song, not to make a punchline with them, but to actually make a full song out of them, I don't think I can allow it
