Any way, Saw It Follows earlier tonight and though I enjoyed it, I still felt a little unsatisfied. It's a metaphorical thriller film (i.e. The Babadook) but I felt they could have done more with the film.
I did like how it didn't rely on cliche jump-out-of-your-seat moments most horror films have. In fact, it's not even really a HORROR film as it relies more on a eerie atmosphere. It's a solid film but not a MUST SEE, I'd say.

What made It Follows so great was that it said more by doing less. I think any more explanation/scare would have taken it out of the dream-like trance that the director had intended.
My most memorable horror experience was probably The Ring. I was younger and more naïve when I first saw it, but it was the perfect creepy horror movie that lingered with me long after.
Don't mind my taste. I'm desensitized to a lot of it after having watched horrors my whole life. Nothing excites me anymore.

Yas!! I remember watching it with my nieces and nephews (I'm a bad uncle making them watch it aged 8-12). As soon as it finished the phone rang and we were all gone
Just saw It Follows for the second time and it BLEW my mind again. The suspense is so ****ing crazy and, again, the soundtrack is a MASTERPIECE. It gives me so much ****ing life.
It is absolutely flawless and the perfect combination between satisfying action and straight up suspenseful horror. Definitely going to be a horror classic for decades to come and I'm so happy for its commercial success
which brings up another question we had... what happens if you kill yourself of letting It kill you? Do it break the chain? Does It not give a **** and goes onto ha next victim? I'd love to see that explored in a sequel if they make one (which they shouldn't, but the success of this film was totally unexpected)
