How funny you should mention that song!! It finally grew on me literally this past Monday!
I listened to it and imagined it like this: So Mariah is in a musical, and the main plot is about how she and her wannabe lover are star-crossed lovers. Well, she finally gets up the courage to confess her love, but on her way to tell him how she feels, he is shot and killed. MC finds his body in the street and starts crying/wailing. Then the scene fades and transitions into the next scene, which is the lover's funeral. As Mariah walks home from the funeral, she sings "The Wind."

That's cute and all but the song is unlistenable for me. And I don't care if it's "haunting" like everyone says. It's a nightmare lol
The Wind is one of my favorite tracks on Emotions. How could anyone dislike it, its so sad
