I took a shot at trying to come up with a Rebel Heart Tour setlist. I probably went a bit heavy on the medley-type performances, but I wanted to get something from every album in...

Bitch I'm Madonna / (contains "LUV Madonna" from Give Me All Your Luvin)
 Illuminati
Devil Pray / (contains elements of Nothing Fails — "I'm not religious")
Wash All Over Me / Rain

 Iconic (video interlude)

 Hung Up
 Rebel Heart
 Music / Celebration mash-up

 Hits (video interlude)

 Express Yourself
Unapologetic Bitch / (contains elements of Human Nature)
Joan of Arc / (contains elements of Drowned World)
Ghost Town / (contains elements of 4 Minutes)

 Papa Don't Preach (video interlude)

Girl Gone Wild (prayer intro) / Holy Water
 Vogue
 Erotica medley
Best Night / Justify My Love
 Like A Virgin

 Retrospect (video interlude)

 Open Your Heart
 Veni Vidi Vici
 Like A Prayer
 Living For Love (lengthy remix)

Obviously some of this is just wishful thinking... I'm kinda thinking Best Night/ Justify My Love will end up a video interlude on the actual tour. Also thinking Girl Gone Wild might pop up in Devil Pray, it might work better than Nothing Fails. Ghosttown/ 4 Minutes would be really interesting, but I think she'll perform GT without mixing anything else in.

So, I'm wanting to listen to Madonna's full discography. I have Ray of Light, COADF, MDNA, and Rebel Heart, but I'd like some suggestions for some of her older material that I should listen to. I'd appreciate it so much.   |

If you like the albums you should listen to Like A Prayer (Like a Prayer, Dear Jessie, Oh Father, Till Death do us part, Cherish), True Blue (Papa dont preach, open your heart, live to tell, la istla bonita) and her older stuff.
If you don't like her pre-Ray Of Light stuff, listen to Music (Music, American Pie, Don't tell Me, What It feels like for a girl, I deserve it) and American Life (American Life, Hollywood, Love profusion, Intervention, Xstatic Process, Nothing Fails)

You can skip Hard Candy and Like a Virgin tho     |

Then you may be off to a good start with her more classic material, and i recommend listening to either True Blue or Like a Prayer first, then her debut and LAV. Erotica and AL are gems that take some time to digest for most people it seems... so leave them to be appreciated alone, after some time.  |

Honestly "Like a Prayer" took me the longest to get into... 'Till Death Do Us Part' though - how WRONG was I to avoid it just because of the song title, the heavenly upbeat bop
Even "Erotica" was easier than LAP though

Like A Prayer is definitely a hard album to get into. I still struggle sitting through the whole thing.   |

An album with the True Blue B-side Perish on it cold not possibly be her best.
LAP is merely top 3.

The order to get into her albums should be : Celebration, Confessions, Ray of Light, American Life, Music, Like A Prayer, Bedtime Stories, Erotica, Rebel Heart.

TB/Madonna/LAV, Hard Candy/MDNA for extra credit.    |

Like A Prayer is top 10. I'll let her have that.   |

But then I kinda don't want someone's first album to be Confessions because it's already overrated to hell and back. The last thing we need is yet another Confessions twink.
Maybe start with the superior American Life or Bedtime Stories instead.
