I agree that Rihanna should put her songs on Spotify, etc, but she would definitely get SOME additional sales from not being on Spotify, even if it's a small amount. I think most people would use Youtube or illegally download instead though.

Yes, but didn't that happen back in November or something?

They've adjusted the weight of streaming like 3 times now since they added On-Demand in 2012. First was when Harlem Shake got #1 and they added Youtube I think they re-weighted it too, second time was the week when Royals dropped from #1/Wrecking Ball re-climbed to #1 and the third time was sometime around last November when the chart year ended.
