In the middle of the tour was a mess but the boys are TIRED they've been touring nom-stop he was probably like I can't do this all year

I mean, we all say "Zayn should have done ___" but it could have just as easily been management not giving him the option. We really don't know, and we may never considering he's still under the exact same management and label.

Okay, but clearly the 1D schedule wasn't working for him. Five years with very little break, back-to-back-to-back tours, same with albums, it's insane what the five of them had to do (and now the four of them have to do). Leaving the group was Zayn's best option for his mental health it seems, at least now he can see his family and actually breathe a bit. Even if he went solo, he still gets more of the downtime he really needs that he wasn't getting from the group's schedule. That's how I see it.

To be fair, Naughty Boy is the one rubbing Zayn's solo music in people's faces. You can't take that out on Zayn.

I think people expected Zayn to become a hermit because he needs his own time to recover, but that's not really how mental health works.

Which is Zayn's entire problem.
If he's going ahead with the whole solo thing, that's fine and good. I'm here for his version of Sugar Daddy coming out asap. If he wants to lay low for a little while, that's perfectly okay. He probably needs to let all the stress from touring wear off anyway. But it seems like he wants to do both right now which is clearly not going to work in his favor.

He also needs to run slowly jog far away from the greasy donut but that's another problem for another day.

Working on an album in a quiet studio is a lot different than touring or doing promo
So in a way he is relaxing and maybe that creative process in the studio is helping

Harry had also been working on music outside of 1D for years, so I think fans are justified in not immediately assuming that it meant Zayn was leaving. Him and Naughty Boy have worked on demos before for 1D, and Simon gave the entire band permission to release solo projects on the side.

Even the people who expected him to leave weren't thinking "March, in between two concert dates 3 days apart".


It's messy, but we still don't know **** unfortunately.

I'm actually going through Mental Health problems my damn self. My mother death has taken a toll on me so I completely understand what stress and anxiety can do to a person. And like I said before if zayn needed to take a step back to recover from being a slave to 1D management that is perfectly fine, but if he is planning to go solo all in the same year of course that is going to rub people the wrong way because that is not a break no matter how you spin it. I'm very aware that zayn has been in the studio for a while now. How he left was messy plain and simple, but I wish him the best regardless.

I've been hesitant to express my thoughts on Zayn because we don't know the whole story. Even if he does a televised interview you don't know if Simon is pulling strings behind the scenes. So much bulls*** news has been thrown at us these past few days I don't even know what to believe.

i have awful anxiety issues & many other mental health issues not like anyone cares but im just saying i was very understanding when that was the reason for him leaving
but the last few days really point to it being a planned solo career move that has been going on for months now & that the anxiety thing may have just been a convenient excuse idk
working with someone like NB doesnt seem like a very good thing to do if ur having anxiety issues either

& harry has written & recorded many solo songs but the difference is he never left 1D

This too. Their tour date in my city is literally on my birthday so I was really tempted to go. But I'm glad I didn't buy tickets because it would be so disappointing to not have Zayn there for my first 1D concert. Geri left after my Mom bought tickets and it sucked because she was my favourite Spice Girl. Leaving in the middle of a tour is such a messy thing to do.
