The free version of Spotify doesn't let you listen to the tracks you want to, it's all shuffled randomness with ads. And yes you can get around that but closing and re-opening the app every time an ad plays gets old after the first 100 times.

I tried Tidal's trial last week, nothing I heard convinced me to pay more than the $4.99 I'm already paying for Spotify Premium. I'm in college. What do I look like wasting $20 a month for a music streaming service?

And I wish these artists would snatch their music from Spotify. Ch. I'd go right back to the Bay like it was 09'.

I agree that we should be trying to get people who don't pay for music, to a point where they feel like they should pay for it. Trying to tell people who pirate, or use YouTube/SoundCloud, to hand over $10 a month immediately is tough whether its Tidal, Beats, or any service that doesn't support an ad-sponsored plan. While Apple is banking on leverage with the labels to window releases, or with Tidal trying to sell exclusives or "HQ" music - all of this mean nothing to the people who believe music is and should be free.

Either you pay to have a service or you dont its as simple as that.
You can choose to download songs from the internet and watch Youtube videos.
Or have have both in one app.
1. I like the convenience.
2. I personally prefer to keep things simple.
