There will be naysayers with new gimmicks. No one is entitled to support this product just because Jay-Z, Beyoncé and the like are behind it and practically telling you that you should. If people want to spend $20 per month on a gym membership ( ) and decide that a pay music streaming service isn't important to them, that is their right. The nerve.

I am a student too. I work for a major U.S bank and I can still manage $10 a month for music along with all my other major expenses.
The same way people can manage a Hulu Plus or Netflix subscription.
I guess it all comes down to personal preference. But i do sense a little bit of anger. Just a bit. Jay-Z is making the girls fume a bit.

Why so many perched in here?
I'm good with my $5/month Spotify subscription. This is just like Beats with the celebrity branding - I will not be fooled like the rest.

You know I'm done, I'm going to sleep. I can't believe people think $10 a month for all music is ridiculous when it (supposedly) sounds better, is adless and has more selection. And I also can't believe people think I'm being unreasonable when I think $10 is not a crazy amount of money. I don't think people are putting the amount of money it is into the context of their lives, or you all literally must be 100% living day to day broke which I seriously doubt based on the sort of lives you guys say you have in other threads.

I guess that's a minor and trivial complaint, but yeah, I don't like that.

The credit card bit is most likely to avoid people cheating and renewing the free trial for ever and ever like most people does

Paying once a month to access to almost infinite amount of music seems to be such a tall order for ya'll.
I still find it hard to believe there are people here (on a music forum) who haven't invested in Spotify Premium.
Continually pirating whole albums is not the tea.
|
I make thousands a month from my job, and spend a big portion of that on unneccessary accessories, but HOW DARE I be suggested I should pay even $10, less than the price of 1 album, for millions of songs in a month? Those artists are GREEDY, even though I have the mindset myself of never paying them.

If anything all I see is blind stanning for the Carters and co. and pretentious audiophile nonsense. I'm sorry but I, and seemingly the majority of other posters, can't imagine this ever becoming competitive with Spotify with these fees. But that's just my onion.

I know youre a kid and you get all your spending money from your parents but this shouldnt be too hard to understand...
Bruh. that's a LUXURY. Maybe people have more important things to spend their money on, like food, bills, etc.

If you have another credit card, you can do it again. Those things will always be flawed.

That!
Like **** outta here, I'm over here trying to save up for this damn overpriced $2,000 Kaplan MCAT prep course. Between that, tuition, housing, phone bills, clothes, and paying for food every week, what do I look like throwing $20 of the coins I have every month to hear a couple songs I could hear for free with ease? I'm sorry, music is a huge part of my soul, but when it comes to my bank account, I'm not willing to hand it over for a tune or two.

$10 a MONTH though? I'm already paying monthly for a phone, car insurance, gas, food. And I have to pay criminal amounts for school, why would I waste 120$ a year for music?

If it's not economically feasible for you to pay for this, then don't. But don't start going off on a tangent about the price as if the music is somehow yours by right. If your coins aren't looking right then this **** don't belong to you. Simple as that.
And it's not like Tidal is monopolizing the streaming service industry and FORCING you to pay them.

You just said it, you work. Some bitches in here cannot afford it or maybe they prefer not spend $10 in that **** but in other more useful things, at end it is their money so all the people talking that crap just save it, they will spend their money on whatever they like.
