Muddy, you say that he is using her, but there will always be a doubt that someone is dating her for money/fame and in his case, he already has money and fame. Was Jay-Z using Beyonce for her money and fame? Also Calvin creates music, so they have that in common. He also puts on concerts, goes on world tours and has won Grammy's.
Why is it surprising that Taylor likes him? They have common interests and experiences and know some of the same people. I don't know much about his personality but it appears that Ellie probably introduced them at the Brit Awards after-party. Ellie is probably fine with it considering she also went to see Calvin Harris show in Vegas and has a boyfriend currently. As he is also famous, he is less likely to be phased by Papparazzi than someone who is not an entertainer.
Also Ashrock, you are not making any sense. Taylor has been single for more than 2 years AFAIK. She can only be called a serial dater now by those who are sexist and have double standards. Did not Calvin date more people than Taylor in the last 2 years?
If Taylor is going on tour in May, then she should use this time before then to establish a relationship because it is much harder to do so once the tour begins. If she waits until after the tour ends (which could be middle of next year) then the moment could have passed.
Im disappointed shd didnt end up with Karlie. I think it would have been tremendously good for her personally and image-wise.
but those talking about Ellie and Calvin, are you forgetting Ellie was at vegas with Taylor and Haim at Calvin's concert? Obviously they have Ellie's ok or Taylor would never do it.
But you can bet tabloids like Hollywood L(ies)ife will be making up stories that Ellie is upset etc this week or next

In her long career, country legend Dolly Parton has seen many talented people come and go.
"A lot of people came to Nashville at the same time I did, with far more talent than me, but they never made it," she says in the latest issue of PEOPLE. "You wonder why that happens."
But there's one young artist who Parton thinks will be around for a long time.
"I think that little Taylor Swift has just done amazing," Parton says.
"She knew exactly who she was, she had her dream, and she stuck with it. That's what you gotta do. I'm just so proud of her."
But don't ask Parton to give advice to Swift – or any other singer. "I'm not one to give advice, because I never wanted anyone to give me advice," she says with a laugh. "If someone comes to me, I say, 'What I did was this, but I'm not you.' It's different for each person."
Dolly Parton on Taylor Swift in interview to swedish newspaper VG
Translation : If I have been a role model for anyone, I am of course very happy about that. Not that I ever was as good as her, but I see a lot of myself in someone like Taylor Swift. She has some of the same drive that I had.
She takes both her artistry and the business side seriously. Get things done. I think she is spectacularly talented and I am very proud of her.

4. He likes Taylor Swift, but not much else that's on the radio.
"I can actually deal with Taylor Swift because she's clever," he says. "Being a songwriter, I can appreciate her wit. She deserves all of her success. But I do like Katy Perry? Look, I don't think there's a lot of 76-year-old people hanging on Katy Perry's every word. I'm not against it, but it doesn't come and get me. Asking me about today's pop music would be like asking me who the national marbles champion is. I just don't care. If music gets me, I'll come and listen to it."
