I think Big A DID have a role that night. "I buried your mom the same way I watched her bury you." I just don't think Mona really played a role that night except for getting Alison out of town, which is what she always wanted. I do think Mona killed Sara though. But if she did kill Sara, that would mean Sara is in the grave and not Bethany. But then that would mean Bethany is alive, which really doesn't make any sense...

Mona said when Cece visited her at radley she thought she was Alison, so I'm assuming that when Cece went to see her in ha red coat, she thought it was Ali and the " I did everything you told me to do" was her saying to Ali "I took your advice on being popular"
