I thought I wouldn't be but I'm actually ok with this. #1 in sales is great to me. And I hope it makes BILLBOARD realize how stupid that streaming thing is

What are you talking about? Taylor Swift sold A LOT more actual albums than Nicki. It wasn't because of streaming.

+ Beyoncé 28.9 million + Lady Gaga 26.62 million + Rihanna 29.7 million = 98.2 million

Not even half of Madonna's total album sales, the joke writes itself.

They're always flip-flopping.

Fact is, Billboard.com is where people go to see who's on top and who's not. Billboard is where they will see Madonna at #2. Y'all can't claim the BBH200 "means nothing" because your fave didn't go #1. It's the fans' fault, not the chart.

And if she has sold that much only because she's been in the business for 30 years then why she's the only one who comes close to ~200 million albums sold? when there have been plenty of females with more years. Please, explain.

Being at the top for 30 years (best selling female act ever) is actually something to brag about considering there are always newcomers and stans trying to claim the Queen of Pop title only for them to flop and fall into irrelevancy just 5 years into their careers, I bet that sounds familiar hihi.

30 years and she's still getting #1 albums around the world, selling on-par with current it girls, getting a sold-out tour around the world, etc. The question here is: Will your fave have all that 10 years into her career, let alone 30?

Yes, the gap between Madonna and Empire was very small. That's why they are ahead if you count streaming.

The sales gap between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift was massive. Streaming did not make any difference. Taylor Swift would have been at no1 anyway because of her massive sales.

You are the one who claimed that Taylor snatched the no1 from Nicki due to streaming and Nicki would have been at no1 if it was just sales.

NO. Nicki was #3 on sales and she went #2 thanks to streaming. Streaming actually helped Nicki. Taylor and Pentatonix were #1 and #2 on sales.
