It's all part of one brand. Jessica.
People don't just buy the clothes, they buy into Jessica as a brand and an image they want to replicate. Otherwise they could buy clothes from any designer and not think any more about it.
Victoria Beckham did the same, she was in a girl group, did some acting gigs and cemented her celebrity status, making her brand much more marketable and desirable.
It's common sense.
