After the mess that was Emma Roberts last season, they need to get the best of their actors to the front (Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Naomi Grossman? etc.)

I don't think anyone would disagree with it being a good idea to put your best talents in the forefront. But the thing is, there's no confirmation that Ryan isn't doing this for Hotel. Gaga is clearly only being hyped up to get attention for the new season. It is not confirmed that she's being pulled in and other, more talented and experienced actors are being kicked out. Gaga isn't taking anyone's spot, she's simply being given her own.

Gaga's been acting for as long as she's been making music, fyi. You don't seem to get it's more illogical to write her off than it is to be excited about her killing her part since the latter is actually more plausible.
Lady Gaga isn't just a vocalist, she's an entertainer. Her Grammy Awards are relevant because Gaga isn't the kind of artist who wins awards just for her music, she wins awards for the entire package, which includes the role she's been playing for the past six years.
Gaga is incredibly dedicated to everything she does, so like I said, she's going to train to make sure she does what she needs to do. Though it's not gonna matter if she kills it or not, some of you have clearly already made up your mind about her role.

FILTH AND LIES
Sister Jude is the greatest character this series has ever seen, and by far the most complex and best performed. To say nothing of Saint Mary Eunicifer, Dr. Arthur Arden, and Bloodyface and their actors and actress up against Lana/Sarah.
I do like Lana tho. Not so much Sarah

She says they're her family, but Elsa constantly tries to abandon them at every single turn for fame (which she will not SHUT UP about) By far the worst character AHS has ever seen.

Elsa had no idea Stanley was killing the freaks until Maggie showed her Ma Petite's body and told her everything. Elsa might have had her suspicions yes, but she definitely wouldn't have gone along with him if she knew what he had done to Ma Petite. Now Bette and Dot are another case, she knew and even agreed to Stanley getting rid of them, but the twins weren't really one of her Monsters and she went back and forth with them the whole season.
She truly did care about her Monsters, and figured once she got fame and money she'd take care of them. I believe her too. But that's not to say that she didn't love playing the caretaker role, and Bullseye is prime evidence that she needs to be seen as their savior and hero in order to keep on taking care of them.
Elsa was quite a mixed bag to say the least. But I loved her messiness.

Out of all the **** Ryan has ****ed up through the years... The only thing I'm genuinely still mad about is the fate of Misty Day.

She only worked with Stanley for the sake of Bette and Dot. She wasn't aware of his full role in the grand scheme until the end. Elsa left Pepper with her sister because she was her only family left in the world, and Elsa was going to Hollywood. Pepper's "husband" and "daughter" both died, and her "mother" was about to leave.
And Elsa gave an entire monologue about being willing to destroy the things she loves to survive/achieve her goals. Did you miss that, or?

Am I imagining the parts where Stanley helps her fake Ethel's suicide and suggested that Elsa murder Bette and Dot? The guy clearly showed no moral qualms about murdering freaks, and freaks have started disappearing and dieing. Unless Elsa was mentally deficient, it should be pretty obvious who's behind it. Also, she tried to murder Bette/Dot after she said they would be part of her family in the pilot, hypocrite.
She figured she'd take care of them SO MUCH that she didn't even know they were murdered till years after the massacre occurred. No, she did not intend to use her fame or wealth to take care of them. If she had, she wouldn't have been taken by surprise since she'd have known they, you know, were all dead.

Went over the Bette/Dot stuff already, and it was fairly obvious that blood relations meant nothing to Pepper's sister when her response was that she GUESSED Pepper could do chores around the house. The Freaks would at least be kind to her.
her eight billion fame monologues blend together, but that goes with my whole point of "She didn't actually love the freaks" since love is selfless, not selfish

I understand exactly how you feel. But with the series being a one season and off to the next, set up, I didn't really mind because I know will probably never see any of the Coven girls again anyway.
I was devastated the entire Harmon family died in Murder House.

Not you acting like Arden is a good character. He contributes nothing to the entire plot. He just sits there, reacts to a few subplots and randomly kills his mutants. His interactions with Sister Mary Eunice are well-acted, but the character sucks.

I need Connie Britton to make a return. I also love the fact that her and one of those white men on MH ended up on Nashville as husband and wife.

She isn't acting right now. She's never done a serious role. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. I was dragged earlier for comparing her use of being overly dramatic to acting. You can't say she's going to be a fantastic actress because we know her to be an extravagant and melodramatic character.
The Grammys are a music award. So those are not relevant at all to acting.
I don't question her dedication. I've stated my concerns already, and it's mostly issues with Ryan and his choices rather than with Gaga as an artist. We do not know what she is like as an actress; it's not easier to say nor more plausible to believe "she's going to be good" than "she's going to be bad". No one takes green actors/first-timers out of the benefit of the doubt in the acting world.

blkjl;
This is so true, like I said before. All he did the entire season was gush about either SME or his experiments and then argue with Jude.

Y'all will come around to Elsa after Freak Show's (mostly deserved) lashings are dealt. I'll be waiting.
And YAS @ Connie Britton, actress of the best character of Murder House. Would be here for a return.

F Let's talk about Amazon Eve snatching her appearances in ALL THIRTEEN episodes of Freak Show. Poor Emma, Denis, Frances, Angela, Sarah, Kathy, and Finn. The TRUE star of the season.
