Everything Ryan said about Carly. She's like a better, more talented Canadian version of Taylor Swift except nothing like her because she's better. She's a true artist and her pop music doesn't come across anywhere near as contrived and forced.

I Really Like You is better than Call Me Maybe too, imo. I was listening to it yesterday or the day before and the repetition is just so annoying. How did it smash so hard? Her magnum opus is still the Bonnie McKee-penned Turn Me Up. Honorable mentions to Tiny Little Bows and Hurt So Good, too.

And not "The Kiss".

But I agree with the bolded. Tug of War is such a gem, and I wish more people were acquainted with that album than they are Kiss. They think "The Kiss" is her first album and Call Me Maybe is her debut single

I was kind if hoping her new single would be more folky, but it's such a ****ing bop that I don't care

I'm still seething that Tiny Little Bows & Curiousity got makeovers for Kiss, when the acoustic and EP version, respectively, were way better. Tiny Little Bows could've fit perfectly into Tug Of War. I don't think she ever recorded it professionally

I think I'm possibly the only person who likes both versions of both songs and isn't annoyed with the final versions. Tiny Little Bows is one of my favourites on Kiss, but the original concept was really cute too. Same goes with Curiosity, I actually prefer the version on Kiss, but I still like the EP version too.

And yeah, Tug of War is really underrated. It's completely different to Kiss but it great for what it is. The Curiosity EP really was the perfect transition between Tug of War and Kiss. It felt a lot more genuine than Speak Now > Red > 1989.

I still listen to their album versions. but I still have a special place for the originals The Curiosity EP was really cute, and I wish Curiosity (single) wasn't doomed to a Canada only release with a pulled video Both Sides Now is still played everyday

Tiny Little Bow is amazing on the album, but I prefer curiosity on the ep.. its about your personaly taste...

I like her music. Her country songs are good and her pop songs are, for the most part, good too. But she has an unlikeable personality, to me at least. Everything about her is very calculated and fake. But I'm not going to pretend I didn't bop out to 1989 on its release.

Speak Now will forever be her best album I recently listened to self titled as well, and I have no clue why any of the swiffer pads hate it.

I need to download her unreleased material before I call myself a stan though I think the only unreleased I have from her is the demo to "Crazier"
