Now, if this was 2011/2012 and those dedicated stans that run those websites and travel all over the world to sniff Gaga's ass all the time bought a few cards, these download days would have actually created some results.

I agree that download/streaming days could actually work if we got our **** together and worked diligently, but not like this. In relation to albums, Billboard said that for a purchase that involves the buying of a large number of one specific album, they'll only count up to ten sales to reduce the chance of these types of things happening. I'd assume they'd have the same or a similar rule in place for singles, meaning that only 20 out of the 154 downloads you mentioned would count towards the Hot 100. That being said, there's nothing to prevent it from flying up the iTunes chart (but it wouldn't get too high and it would be very short lived). I would absolutely be here for this if I felt confident in our fan base's teamwork - but, as seen in past download days/streaming weeks, the average fan will just laugh at the effort and call participants "delusional," ignoring the fact that things would actually get done if we all worked towards it, even if only a little.
