I'd like to watch it because of Lady Gaga, and I don't want to watch the first three seasons.

Nope. You don't, because the story changes each season. But, unless there really is a total overhaul this season, it might be a good idea to watch the other seasons to get an idea of how the show works.

You'll have to watch the first 3, there are vital plot points that will be addressed this season. Gaga is worth it.

I love Jessica and all her characters (Sans Jude sometimes), but it was getting old after 4 years. They're all different of course, but still variations of the same formula. Her leaving will do the show good and breathe fresh air into the franchise.
